Day 4 - Badlands
We spent the evening in Sioux Falls at Palisades State Park. Heading to the Badlands today via Wall Drug, a tourist trap we are happy to entertain for selfies with a giant Trex and 5 cent coffee. Our first roadside attraction was Cowboy Town in Buffalo Ridge. We stopped for gas and ice but stayed for the dusty horder museum of cowboy blacksmiths, piano playing gorillas, mounted jackelope hyenas and Buffalo heads. But no ice.

(Jason day 4) current state of mind “I don’t want this to ever end”. M concurs.
Side Note:
Carr Valley, WI (Shepherds Blend) this is Monica’s favorite cheese. We had it with some grilled Conecuh sausage for dinner a couple nights.
Also Wall Drug is a complete waste of time. Don’t go there!
Sunflower fields! Huge sunflower fields, hundred of acres. We also saw lots of sorghum and Alfalfa fields. The rolling hills were pretty.
Enter the badlands! Wow! It’s easy to imagine how this place got its name. I would hate to try and ride a horse across that terrain. Next couple of days will be spent here and the black hills.
