Day 5 - Badlands Part II
We spent the night in Badlands KOA after spending yesterday driving through the Badlands. We heard a lot of coyotes after a rain shower passed through during the night. The wind was pretty high before the storm, but we slept well.

Jason cooked egg and cheese quesadillas for breakfast. We played Frisbee with Fern and then headed out to see more of the park.
We worked our way northwest to Rapid City for a late lunch. The BeStro had decent sandwiches and Fern and Monica played in a beautiful park while I walked back to downtown to fetch the truck.
Another afternoon drive through the last section of the park and we were rewarded with lots of wildlife. We saw Buffalo, Antelope, Big Horn sheep, Prairie Dogs, and many hawks.

Our second evening in Badlands KOA, we walked down to the bed of the White River. The White River is one of the 3 rivers that carved the badlands. The Bad and the Cheyenne are the other two. We found a pocket full of quartz crystals.
Back at camp for sunset, we fixed margaritas and had cheese, crackers and salami for dinner. We built a nice campfire and sat around till bedtime.

Are you trying to teach Fern how to walk drunk?
