Got up and bundled up as temps climbed slowly from 30’s. Got coffee and delicious breakfast sandwiches to go and headed to Yellowstone south entrance. Crossed our 2nd Continental Divide sign. Rode out to Grassy Lake dispersed camping sites to check them out. Very doable for future note but we will stay at the Jenny Lake campsite we have that our ranger friend got us.

Drove the entire south loop, pulling right into the Old Faithful site a few minutes before it erupted. We loved it but Fern was ambivalent- no squirrels anywhere.

Hot springs, geysers and mud pots oh my! Saw all those bizarre earthly wonders along with bison, idiots taking selfies *insanely* close to said bison, a majestic 5x5 bull elk, fox, antelope, mule deer.

We ate turkey and cheese sammies again this time at a picnic spot near Lewis River. Jason said you might be in Yellowstone if there’s buffalo poop at your picnic spot. Headed back south to camp skipping dinner minus 2 Oreos.

  1. Wonderful pics! I'm glad you're getting to Glacier before the seriously cold weather. Marm
