Day 21 - Boise
Drove the short trip from Cascade to Boise with the intention of spending the day exploring downtown Boise. We arrived around 11am and luckily our hotel room was ready. We stayed at the Modern Motel and Bar. It was a cool 1950’s styled retro hotel.

Rode bikes with Fern along a nice greenway to beautiful, huge and clean park by the Boise River. This place has cool old buildings and funky shops. “The new Boulder” we were told.
Found “Funky Alley” a graffiti wall in town that was really cool. Dropped a Nate sticker!
Had one of our best meals yet at the Diablo and Sons Saloon, then watched a band playing outside at a lounge. “The Pearltones” caught our ear with a John Prine song but had originals too- all so good. Love me a washboard! They took Safety Breaks “safety 3rd!” between songs.
Decided to get Fern from the hotel and take her to a dive bar, Handlebar, where a rowdy unicycle with training wheels contest was happening. Yes, they allow dogs inside! Jason and I tied at Fooseball- it ain’t over!
